333882 heads with 2.02 intake valves....  (Read 27 times)

or am i on acid?
i have a 75 vette that i have had since it was new. i rebuilt the engine - L48 - 15 years ago and had
the heads done. no big deal. i just figured they were the regular L48 heads with 1.94 intake valves.
i just pulled the heads off to replace them with vortecs, and had them side by side. i did a double take.
then i got out my calipers. i have 333882 L48 heads with factory 2.02 intake vales. i did a little research and found that they used this casting in '74 for the L82's. my car was a very early build in '75.
is it possible that i got some
left over heads from the prior year's production L82 run?
anyone ever seen these before?
somebody help me out.
and how will these perform as opposed to the vortecs i am putting on that DO have 1.94 intake valves?
